Da come la presenti la singularity sembra essere un'università del futuro. Flessibilità, creatività, apertura, case studies e workshop. Poi l'utlizzo dei social media come youtube per condividere i materiali e le lezioni. Magari ne aprissero una così in Italia!

Grazie, anche io volevo riprendere quella citazione ma ho cercato di informarmi meglio, non mi stupisce affatto che altri "autorevoli" fonti di informazioni non facciano questo minimo controllo di veridicità prima di fare broadcasting....

sorry, Mister Orban, I gotta have an other experience: L'ESSERE E' IL MOTORE DEL PIU' e solo quel fare che ne scaturisce è colmo di senso.
IL FARE è IL MOTORE del PIU': ambito slogan che sta piegando la schiena di molti e aprendo il cuore di pochi.

Ci sono un paio di refusi. Forse a conferma del punto 3!

Il punto 6 dovrebbe essere: "Lo scopo del fare non è finire, ma poter fare altro" e il 2: "Accetta che tutto sia una bozza".

Comunque molto interessante.

Non ho ritenuto che valesse la pena di proseguire. Cioè ho pensato che investire più tempo in ricerche presso fonti ancora più autorevoli (quali?) non avrebbe portato a niente.

È molto bassa la probabilità che il brano sia genuino. A mio avviso non lo è, ma è stato scritto in questi anni, in Italia, da parte di qualcuno che riteneva di aver davvero bisogno di dimostrare con testimonianze false l'assurdità della posizione razzista. Essendo questa una posizione però dogmatica, non razionale, non c'è la possibilità di "convertire" un razzista...

Questo brano è uscito anche tra le lettere del MessaggeroVeneto di questi giorni, così anch'io mi sono messa a cercare la fonte (volevo riprenderlo, ma non è molto utile citare cose di cui chissà qual è il punto di partenza), senza successo, incappando però in questa tua interessante indagine. E' proseguita?

Possibilities for eBooks other than just books:

- repair instructions on demand
- car manual with on-demand updates (and different languages); always a big issue in the car plant to put the "right" manual (language) in the "fitting" car
- room schedules in universities and companies (automatically updating through embedded systems)
- ...
- WHAT is YOUR example of the FUTURE of PAPER?

There are reports of very many new Android based devices hitting the market in the second half of 2009. I will be curious to look at them, and see how both the hardware and the software evolve. Yes, multitouch support will be good! :)

Yep, I very much agree with your points about openness and opportunity. So much so that I wanted to write about them. At the end I decided not to, because they are meta-considerations, which go beyond the intrinsic merits of each of the platforms.

As I mention I want to come back to this topic in a little while, and you can be sure that one of the criticisms against the iPhone will be its closed nature.

An additional area that I didn't cover is the ease of development, or lack of, on each platform. And of course that also matters greatly.

I'm a big Android fan myself, and I actually agree with you on many of those points. For me though, the biggest negative by far is the speed of the OS. I find Android on the HTC devices is currently ridiculously slow. I recently played with an iPhone 3GS and I was thinking to myself "ahhh, this is how a phone SHOULD react to my inputs".

Though with all my negatives, I do still like Android more for a) it's future market potential is huge and I want to support that, b) I like supporting open source efforts, and c) I have more flexibility technically when it comes to unlocking, installing non-store apps etc.

c'è anche un altro problema, che è quello che sto incontrando io. Risposto affermativamente alle varie domande (ovviamente con tutto l'ottimismo del caso) mi sono scontrato con il problema "sviluppo". Se si pensa a qualcosa di appena un poco più complesso di una community (e se devi avere un ritorno economico è probabile che lo si debba fare) allora l'applicativo lo devi sviluppare. Non puoi certo pensare di utilizzare una piattaforma già preparata, altrimenti finirai per dare servizi a cui la gente è già abituata. Nell'ultimo anno ho provato a guardare la nascita di molte start up e non sono riuscito ancora a trovarne una i cui fondatori non abbiano iniziato "programmando in proprio" almeno il core del servizio. Certo poi hanno trovato fondi, hanno assunto sviluppatori ecc. ma il nocciolo dello strumento era sempre in mano loro. Come dice un vecchio proverbio, se ti do un pesce, ti sfamo un giorno, se ti insegno a pescare ti sfamo per sempre. Per l'idea è lo stesso. Se io cerco qualcuno che possa sviluppare la mia idea, do a questo qualcuno la possibilità di continuare poi senza di me, dato che, a quel punto, lui ha "abbastanza" per proseguire da solo. Come sviluppare una idea senza "delegare troppo"?

Beh, non ti fa sorridere? La Rai, il Corriere non vanno a fondo alla notizia prima di darla? :) Il punto non è quello di dare la notizia. Ma dare notizie attendibili. Altrimenti la vantata professionalità delle fonti giornalistiche ufficiali dov'è? Perché dovrebbero snobbare la rete se loro non controllano comunque?

Ottimo lavoro, David, se non fosse stato per te avrei probabilmente pubblicato un fake. Fortunatamente ho voluto fare una ricerca prima di pubblicarlo. Aggiungo due cosette: ad oggi sono 44.100 i risultati per la ricerca da te (e da me) effettuata, inoltre ho trovato un'altra attribuzione, quella dell'Ispettorato per l'immigrazione del Congresso degli Stati Uniti. Ottobre 1919. Chissa' quante altre ce ne sono. :-)

Hi Dave, you are referring evidently not to my day with the U2, and ONE, which you commented, but the photos that I took of dishes prepared from insects. I have more material to post as well, an interview with the director of the museum where the dinner was served, but I am very slow. You are welcome to write your strong opinions, maybe on the Flickr set's comments, where they will live as well as here. :)
